End of Year Festival Update

Just to keep the world in the loop... so far, we have:

• Set our initial line-up of five companies plus the Impromaniacs
• Mostly filled the core team positions
• Submitted our first of several funding proposals

With January 2006 just hours away, we'll be cranking up the funding engine! Wish us luck!

This is a call for VIIF 2006 volunteers!

This is a call for volunteers!

The 3rd Victoria Internation Improv Festival is scheduled to run September 28 - 30, 2006. This is an exciting opportunity to come and witness first hand some of the best Improv Theatre in North America and around the world.

Be a part of the team for 2006! We are looking for a volunteer coordinator to help us fill the team.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Locating volunteers.
• Training and scheduling the volunteers.
• Preparing a volunteer orientation session at the start of the Festival.
• Maintaining the volunteer contact list (which should include shirt size assuming the Festival is distributing shirts to the volunteers).
• Following up with volunteers during the run of the Festival to ensure they are available for any slots they signed up for.
• Ensuring volunteers are recognized for their efforts.

The festival will need volunteers for:

• Core team positions.
• Taking tickets.
• Working the concession.
• Selling merchandise.
• Ushering.

VIIF 2006 Dates Announced!

VICTORIA - Festival Producer, Jonathan Argue, has announced the 2006 festival dates. It will run from Thursday, September 28 through to Saturday, September 30, 2006.

Hello everyone! Just to let you know that we are currently forming the VIIF 2006 team and will be figuring out things like... festival vision, funding model, budget, etc. etc.
